Audiovisual circus, memories of the flower of the sun (2021)
“To walk through the land of water, the flower of the sun, to remember, to pass through the heart. In each moment of the past our present is found, in each particle of the elements our memories are housed. And those who remembers, transcends. "
SUAZ AMISQUA (sunset in Muysccubun)
"While Grandma Hercilia walks and guides us with her mind through rituals and ceremonies through the sacred territories of our Muisca Suba ancestors, we remember who we are: the guardians, the fertile seed, the new natives. And where we are going, irrefutably , death"
"Suaz Amisqua" is a project composed of a multidisciplinary feature film and audiovisual circus, in which through the performing arts the reminiscences of a living past are brought to light in the memories of waters, lands, air and fire from our territory. And a documentary that studies and relives the memories associated with some emblematic places in the town of Suba, Bogotá, related by experts and inhabitants of the land that was once called "The flower of the sun" by our Muisca ancestors.
"Suaz Amisqua" invokes the multiple voices of the sacred, the elements, the feminine, the ancestors and the hidden wisdom immersed in our territory. It is a voice of re-existence for all that has wanted to be bypassed and that is reborn empowered. The work wants to inspire towards the empowerment and resurgence of spiritual and human values linked to mother, earth and life, to become guardians, protectors, conservators and preservers of our territories; to re-discover ourselves, beyond inhabitants, as the “new heirs and natives”.
